Writing Your Way Through Science & Math

Explore creativity in science and math.

Blast off! Students use creative writing and poetry to explore the solar system, strengthening writing and speaking skills along the way. Erim's unique blend of hands-on learning, interactive call-response poetry keeps students engaged and excited about literacy. Learn about: syllables, parts of speech (nouns, adjectives, verbs), characteristics of shapes. This workshop can also be integrated with other specific curriculum connections.

Royally Responsible

The Power of Good Decisions & Proactive Problem-Solving

Royally Responsible is an interactive K–5 workshop where students explore decision-making through playful performance. Using simple acting techniques like facial expressions, vocal changes, and body language, students practice communication and problem-solving skills. Through guided storytelling, volunteers step into the roles of rulers and advisors to work through fictional dilemmas, with audience input shaping the outcomes. Afterward, students apply what they’ve learned by creating their own skits. The workshop is adaptable to different participation levels and can align with classroom goals in subjects like History, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.

Erim is a true gem in the world of writing and teaching. Her warmth and encouragement create a nurturing space for students to explore their creativity, while her ability to challenge them pushes them to reach new heights in their writing. The students at our library have had nothing but positive feedback about her classes, citing her as a source of inspiration and growth in their writing journey.

Erim's passion for writing shines through in her teaching, making her a valuable asset to anyone looking to enhance their writing skills. We are grateful to have Erim as a part of our community and look forward to many more successful classes with her in the future.
